Junior Danielle Zwahlen, freshman Julia Rust and sophomore Charly Sargent placed second, third and fourth overall for North Summit in the girls 2A final, leading five scorers in the top 11 overall in a 30-43 victory over Millard in the girls 2A final at the Utah High School Activities Association state championship meet at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Zwahlen covered the 5-kilometer layout in 20:52.9, Rust ran 20:58 and Sargent clocked 21 minutes flat to help North Summit regain the team title after Millard prevailed by a 44-51 margin last year at Cedar High. Zwahlen improved from 11th last season and Sargent elevated from ninth for North Summit, which had won five in a row in 2A from 2013-17, before Millard secured the past three titles.
