Pine View sophomore Rylee Holt, freshman Jessica Hill and junior Caroline Clements placed fifth, sixth and eighth in the girls 3A final at the Utah UHSAA Cross Country State Championships at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High. Holt covered the 3-mile course in 18:47.5, Hill ran 18:52.5 and Clements clocked 19:01.8 for Pine View, which rebounded from a one-point loss in last year's final to defeat Desert Hills 45-65. Pine View also posted a 34-39 victory over Desert Hills in the Region 9 final.
