Julie Moore, a junior at Mountain View High, won the Class 4A girls state title by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 18:01.6 at the Utah High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Moore, who missed last year's state final after taking third in Class 5A as a freshman in 2021, helped the Bruins prevail by a 54-92 margin against Timpanogos to extend their state record with a 20th girls team championship, including the first for Mountain View since 2011.
