Lone Peak coach Courtney Meldrum reflects on the Knights repeating as girls 6A champions at the Utah High School Activities Association state meet at the Soldier Hollow course in Midway. Meldrum discusses senior Eliza Arrington falling with 200 meters remaining while leading the race, but the rest of the Lone Peak lineup stepping up to support their teammate by placing Eliza Mason, Reagan Gardner, Taylor Rohatinsky, Katie Bybee and Anna Scholes in the top nine to secure back-to-back titles with a 29-74 victory over American Fork. The Knights are the first girls program to win multiple titles in 6A and the first team to repeat in the top classification since American Fork won three in a row in 5A from 2014-16.
