Lone Peak girls coach Courtney Meldrum discusses the Knights capturing the first 6A state title in program history with a 31-86 victory over last year's winner American Fork at the Utah High School Activities Association state championships at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High. Lone Peak finished third in 2017 and second last year, before placing four athletes in the top six and all five scorers in the top 20, clocking 91:59 to set a classification record and become only the second program in state history to run under 92 minutes, joining American Fork in 5A in 2015.
