Grantsville senior Porter Whitworth repeated as boys 3A champion, clocking 15:43.7 on the 3-mile course at Sugarhouse Park and Highland, at the Utah High School Activities Association state championships. Whitworth helped the Cowboys place fifth overall with 129 points. He became the first male athlete since Ben Saarel of Park City in 2011-12 to capture back-to-back 3A state titles.
