Ashton Arnold, a senior at Altamont High, won back-to-back Class 1A boys titles by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:14.1 at the Utah High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Arnold improved from running 17:19.5 last season, leading Altamont to a second-place team finish behind 11-time state champion Monticello by a 42-85 margin.
