North Summit junior Maggie Zwahlen and senior Madeline Birk finished second and ninth in the girls 2A final at the Utah UHSAA Cross Country State Championships at Sugarhouse Park and Highland High. Zwahlen covered the 3-mile course in 18:35.5 and Birk ran 20:12.5, improving by 49 and 70 seconds from last year, helping North Summit capture its fourth consecutive title with a 57-95 victory over North Sevier.
