Freshmen Sophie Earley, Kate Heywood and Ella Stevenson helped Morgan capture its first girls 3A title at the Utah UHSAA Cross Country State Championships at Sugarhouse Park. Earley placed second, covering the 3-mile course in 19:33.8, Heywood was ninth in 20:30.5 and Stevenson finished 19th in 21:19.5 for Morgan, which prevailed over Grand County by a 62-89 margin.
