Union senior Kennedy Powell won her second 3A girls title in three years, covering the 3-mile course at Sugarhouse Park in 18:42 at the Utah UHSAA Cross Country State Championships. Powell rebounded from an 18th-place finish last season in 19:30.2 to improve on her 2015 winning time by 16 seconds.
